Justin Bieber Recalls Talking With Chris Brown About 'Staying Humble'

Duo worked together on 'Up' for the just-released Never Say Never - The Remixes.

On his newest album, Never Say Never - The Remixes, Justin Bieber teams up with a number of musicians, including Rascal Flatts, Miley Cyrus and even Kanye West. Bieber also worked with Chris Brown on a new version of his track "Up" for the disc, which hit stores this week.

News of the collaboration first hit the Web in late December, when Bieber and Brown tweeted about working together. The 16-year-old said he and Brown had a great time in the studio and that Brown even had some advice for the teen star.

"[We] just talk about regular stuff, nothing too crazy," he told MTV News. "Just like staying humble and remember that God got us in this position, so always make sure to just bless him and praise him."

Bieber also worked with Kanye West for a remixed version of "Runaway Love," and he gave some insight into what it's like to work with the eccentric rapper. "It was amazing," he gushed. "He's such a cool guy, and he's just really laid-back and just nice, and at the end of the day, he's just a nice person.

"It's funny, because he doesn't even use a phone; he just sends e-mail," the pop star further revealed. "It's so crazy. I'm like, 'How can you not use a phone?' "

Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, teased the album and its guest appearances in a chat with fans. "Yes, Justin is working on new music," Braun said last month. "He's been talking to Drake about new music. [Bieber] and Kanye had a call today about a song they're trying to work on together; Kanye wants to produce a bunch of new songs for the new album. He's talked with Rascal Flatts. Him and Chris Brown have been sending stuff back and forth to each other."

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Set To Return To WrestleMania

The 'Tooth Fairy' star will host the 27th installment of the wrestling event on April 3 in Atlanta.
By Eric Ditzian

Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has spent the last few years flexing his muscles on the big screen rather than in the wrestling ring, starring in family-oriented fare like "The Tooth Fairy," bawdy comedies such as "The Other Guys" and a slew of in-your-face action flicks from "Faster" to "Fast Five."

Now, however, the Rock is returning to the world in which he first made his name, hosting WrestleMania XXVII on April 3 at Atlanta's Georgia Dome. He made the announcement during an appearance on "Monday Night Raw," clearly relishing being back in the WWE mix and issuing challenges to fellow wrestlers John Cena and WWE Champion the Miz.

The Rock also posted a short video on YouTube in which he bombastically declares, "Finally, the Rock has come back to WrestleMania. The most electrifying man in all of entertainment is hosting the most electrifying event in all of entertainment!"

The announcement coincides with the Rock joining Twitter. After just 12 hours of activity and only three tweets, he'd managed to attract nearly 80,000 followers. "Finally... Twitter just got Rocked!" reads his first post.

While he's taking on hosting duties and directing a barrage of trash talk at other WWE talent, it's unclear if the Rock will actually step into the ring at WrestleMania. His last appearance as a wrestler came at WrestleMania XX in 2004.

The hosting gig comes shortly before the April 29 release of "Fast Five," the fifth installment in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise.

And the return to the WWE comes at a time when the Rock has stepped away from fun-for-the-whole-family comedies and embraced darker big-screen projects.

"It's a great space to be back into," he explained to MTV News last March while promoting "Faster." "I left the action genre for a couple of years, I did comedy and some family movies as well. But to get back into the pure action genre [in a] revenge thriller is just awesome. I'm back into the space of kickin' ass, which I love to do."

Check out everything we've got on "Fast Five."

Bob Griese Retires From Broadcasting

Hall of Fame quarterback Bob Griese announced his retirement from broadcasting, ESPN announced Thursday.

Griese, who led the Miami Dolphins to two Super Bowl wins in the 1970's, stepped down after a 29-year career in the booth, many of which he spent on ABC's No. 1 college football team with Keith Jackson.

"I've had a wonderful career and now it's time to experience new things," Griese said, in a statement released by ESPN. "I've had many highlights along the way, from working the NFL's Super Bowl and college football's championship games to covering many of my son Brian's games during his undefeated season in 1997. I want to thank ABC, ESPN and the fans for their support and all the men and women on our TV crews for their patience and support (through) the years."

Griese, a member of both the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame, started his broadcasting career with NBC after his retirement from football, and was on that network's No. 1 team, where he got to call a Super Bowl.

Chris Carter, Ohio State Recruit, Won't Be Charged After Arrest

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Authorities say Ohio State football recruit Chris Carter won't face criminal charges stemming from his arrest last week on an allegation that he fondled a girl while pretending to measure her for an ROTC uniform.

Carter is a senior offensive lineman at John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland. The 15-year-old girl told police Carter took her to a room behind the school's auditorium and tried to pull up her bra. He was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexual imposition and spent a night in jail.

Cleveland city spokeswoman Maureen Harper said in a statement Monday that a full review found there was not enough evidence of sexual contact or conduct.

Carter's attorney Harvey Bruner says the city's conclusion verifies what he has said about there not being sufficient evidence to charge Carter. He says Carter looks forward to attending Ohio State in the fall.

by Michael David SmithJake Ellenberger defeats Carlos Eduardo RochaJake Ellenberger fought a closer than expected bout with Carlos Eduardo Rocha at UFC 126, struggling in the first round before regrouping in the second and third rounds to win a split decision.

Surprisingly, one judge scored the fight 30-27 for Rocha. The other two scored it 29-28 for Ellenberger, which is how I scored it. With the win, Ellenberger improves to 23-5, and he's on a three-fight winning streak in the UFC. Rocha, who was taking a step up in quality of competition, falls to 9-1.

Strikeforce heavyweight GP: Fedor loses again, talks of quitting the sport

The end of an era officially arrived tonight in New Jersey. Fedor Emelianenko dominated the sport's landscape from 2001-2006, but age, lack of size and an ever-evolving heavyweight field has caught up to him.

Fedor couldn't overcome the massive Antonio "Big Foot" Silva and lost via TKO on a doctor's stoppage at the end of two rounds. Silva had Fedor mounted for most of the second round. His repeated blows closed Fedor's right eye. The ringside doctor and referee Dan Miragliotta stopped the fight before the third began.

The melancholy crowd in New Jersey's Izod Center was further shocked when a sullen Fedor (31-3) talked about walking away from the sport.

"Yes, maybe it's the last time. Maybe it's high time," Fedor said through his translator. "Thanks god for everything.I spent a great, beautiful, long, sport life. Maybe it's God's will."

Emelianenko, was arguably the world's No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter from 2001-2008. He had a 10-year unbeaten streak, that lasted from 2001-2009, snapped last year by Fabricio Werdum. That loss was chalked up by many as a fluke. Fedor got caught in a pretty elementary armbar.

This was the first fight back in the cage for the Russian since that loss in June of 2009. He had prolonged negotiations about a contract entension and his inclusion in the Strikeforce heavyweight Grand Prix. Fedor was placed on the same side of the bracket as Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem. It was an odd alignment since those two fighters were thought to be the No. 1 and 2 seeds. Now we see why. Anything can happen in MMA.

Silva (16-2) is a respected heavyweight, but was still very underestimated entering the fight. You can't discount how huge the Brazilian is at 6-foot-4, 264 pounds. Showtime announcer Mauro Ranallo claimed Silva was 285 at fight time. That's a 55-pound weight advantage over Fedor, who's a smallish heavyweight at 230.

Silva and Fedor put on a great show. They slugged it out in the first. Two of the three judges gave the round to Emelianenko, but the Russian came out for the second with little strategy in mind.

Just three seconds in, he hurled a big right hand at Silva, who ducked and scored an easy double-leg takedown. The 55-pound weight gap may not kill you standing, but it's brutal on the ground. Silva, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, is also skilled with his positioning. A minute later, Silva passed Fedor's half guard to side control and then mounted the Russian thirty seconds after that.

Fedor rotated between his back and his stomach four different times. On his back, he was pummeled by Silva's humongous fists. On his stomach, his risked getting caught in a rear-naked choke. That was a lot of work over two minutes. Once Fedor settled on his back again, Silva worked and then latched on an arm-triangle choke. Fedor's head turned purple but he survived and Silva got tired. Fedor finally got out of the mount when Silva attempted a knee bar. The round ended with Fedor trying his own heel hook. Silva knew what he was doing, smiled and waved his finger at Fedor.  When the Russian rose to his feet, it was clear that right eye was nearly swollen shut. It had the look of broken orbital bone or maybe he'd take a thumb to the eye.

When the fighters hit their stools, Miragliotta walked to Fedor's corner and quickly called a halt to the fight. Confusion reigned for 30 seconds before Silva's corner was finally informed of the win.

Fedor has his chances in the first round. He stalked the big Brazilian trying to land a right-changing right hand, but he didn't set up the punches with a jab. Emelianenko actually got top control on the ground when Silva fell out of a standing guillotine attempt. In the past, Fedor on top, meant doom for most fighters. In 2011, the top-level big heavyweights are pretty solid off their backs. Fedor had trouble landing anything significant and tried for a kimura, but Silva wisely rolled out of it.

Emelianenko took heavy damage. Silva landed 51-of-81 shots on the ground and 72-of-128 overall. Fedor landed 36-of-53.

Dana White smashes Fedor lovers on Twitter following the Russian's loss

With plenty of longtime mixed martial arts fans on the emotional edge following the beatdown of Fedor Emelianenko, there was one man who was fired up to see the Russian go down in flames. Minutes after Fedor fell badly at the hands of Antonio Silva, Dana White hit Twitter, posted a smiley face and then opened up the blowtorch.

Longtime Fedor backers and fans of PRIDE were bent and White stirred the pot. He threw out barbs like "M-Done" for M-1 and "VaDummy" for Vadim Finkelchtein, Fedor's manager.

Responding via Twitter, M-1's Evgeni Kogan didn't enjoy the shots.

The UFC president was personally vested in this one. He'd tried to sign the Russian fighter on numerous occasions, but couldn't come to an agreement with M-1, his management team. There was probably a small part of him reveling in the fact that Showtime's big signee had lost again. White often references the lack of respect he received from networks when he was building his MMA empire. Fedor shocked the fight world by rejecting the UFC's overtures to sign not once, but twice with Strikeforce. Emelianenko is now 1-2 fighting on Showtime/CBS.

White battled with readers for roughly two hours following the Showtime fight card and signed off by thanking the fans being so passionate. He was back on Sunday ready to further debate. Fans responded by coming up with new Twitter handles likes @UFC_HWs_Suck and @ForeverPRIDEFC.

Maxroam Signs Airline To Disrupt EU Cell Roaming For 78 Million Passengers

Maxroam, the mobile company out to disrupt mobile cell roaming, has signed a significant deal with Ryanair, Europe's biggest low-cost airline which carries 78 million passengers annually. The deal is to create the world?s first free mobile phone roaming service allowing users to passengers to receive free mobile calls and SMS messages when they travel abroad. Although the deal is being marketed via Ryanair's channels, anyone can take advantage of it by buying a SIM card. I'm told the deal will last for around a year. Given that Europeans have to cross borders frequently when travelling, this could well shake-up the mobile market here.

Urijah Faber's Form Athletics has made a big splash in MMA clothing in this past year with cool designs and an impressive stable of fighters, including Anthony Pettis and Jon "Bones" Jones. For Jones' fight at UFC 126, they designed this hoodie:

Pretty sweet, right? Understated, interesting stitching and best of all? It doesn't look like a standard-issue MMA design. Unfortunately, it's $87.99, a price out of reach for many MMA fans who are already shelling out $45 to just watch the fights this weekend.
