Florida State and Florida are headed in opposite directions for the first time in many moons following the Seminoles' convincing 31-7 victory Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium.
FSU snapped its six-game losing streak to its state rivals, and 30 minutes or so later learned it also had captured the Atlantic Coast Conference Atlantic Division crown by virtue of Maryland's 38-31 win over visiting North Carolina State. The Seminoles will meet Coastal Division winner Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship on Saturday in Charlotte, N.C.
